It was just another slow passing day in the outskirts of the cityscape. It could have been late evening or merely mid-afternoon, it was hard to tell with the dark clouds rolling overhead. Moisture clung to the air and gave the impression of rain, even if none had fallen recently.
A large figure loomed from an alley-way, glancing up and down the pathway he was crossing, with the caution of one who'd stumbled into thing's he'd wish not to stumble into again. Making a quick dash across the empty road, he entered a vacant lot, a quick look about the overgrown thicket of discarded items, burnt out drums, and even the odd tire, insuring he was the only one about.
Bleed wasn't exactly a large figure, or as large as some of his kin. He was something of a runt when put against either side of his heritage, and yet he had a slight aura of command, and respect from a lot of those he came across, it might have been his roguish charm, or simply his quick tongue, but usually others seemed inclined to follow his lead. This wasn't something he enjoyed, he'd much rather spend time alone, being more of a self serving being. That was until a certain female decided to waltz into his life. Fortunately it seemed, he'd lost her someone in the town. Not that he hadn't enjoyed the company, it was quite the opposite, and frankly he felt that distractions weren't such a good idea these days.
Moving slowly through the vacated terrace, he'd tip over the odd bit of rubbish, picking at the remains of some forgotten or discarded meal. Bleed wasn't much in the mood for eating, so after the small snack's he'd found he mended his way to the back of the lot, and a large pile of twisted, rusted metal. What it originally was, would be anyone's guess, but now, it was a home of sorts. At least as much a home as the small cove he had found in the park, and the area under the bridge where the humans gathered and hulked around their burning drums. So thats to say it was a dry, and normally warm place that wasn't often occupied by others. As he begun nosing his way into the shelter, he was once again overcome with the feeling he was being watched, a quick glance around... no one. Shaking his head he squeezed into the mass of steel. Once inside it was rather spacious, all considered. At least two more of himself could fit in, but of course as selfish as he was, it wasn't about to happen. Laying on the dying grass, he'd look outside once more. wondering at this odd feeling that he was being watched.
how odd.
